I am glad that you are looking for another position. This situation sounds very difficult. If you are in a larger corporation, you could involve HR and they would have your job scope and be able to say what you should/shouldn't do. If this is a smaller company (which is sounds like) then unfortunately you don't have a lot of recourse and have to deal with the boss. It is a difficult situation as you don't want to alienate them when you need the job but they sound like the type of individual who will continue to take advantage. I have previous experience as a supervisor in the field and she doesnt. Now she uses that to justify dumping her work on me by saying she doesnt know how to do it and doesnt have the time. Also my phone number was posted as contact for emergencies in the office and so far I have received 4 calls at night. I finally emailed her boss asking for a raise due to the extra work and i was told to be a team player and to prove my self worth before asking for a raise. She is even going to have a meeting this week to tell us that. I have 16 years experience in the field but only one with this company. I am already applying to other jobs to get out of the situation but the job market is limited in the area I live. Any advice?
Thanks,
MariaAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03681299966932607166noreply@blogger.com
