But I say, love your enemies
Pray for those who persecute you!
In that way, you will be acting as true children of
your Father in heaven.
If you love only those who love you,
what reward is there for that?
Even corrupt tax collectors do that much.
If you are kind only to your friends,
how are you different from anyone else?
Even pagans do that.
But you are to be perfect,
even as your Father in heaven is perfect.

Finally, brothers and sisters,
whatever is true, whatever is noble,
whatever is right, whatever is pure,
whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable
if anything is excellent or praiseworthy
think about such things.

God blesses those who work for peace, for they will be called the children of God. Matthew 5:9 Do all that you can to live in peace with everyone. Roman's 12:18
And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. 1 Corinthians 13:13 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 1 Corinthians 13:4-7
‘We all possess knowledge.’ But knowledge puffs up while love builds up. 1 Corinthians 8:1 Most important of all, continue to show deep love for each other, for love covers a multitude of sins. 1 Peter 4:8

May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. Ephesians 3:19 Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near. Hebrews 10:24-25

you don’t get it because your motives
