Quick & Easy Baked Sausage Casserole

Elle's Quick & Easy Baked Sausage Casserole

While my classic sausage balls will always hold a special place in my heart, let’s be honest—they can be a bit time-consuming, especially if you’re making multiple batches in the air fryer. That’s why I love this quick and easy baked sausage casserole—it comes in a close second for flavor but saves you so much time!

All you need to do is mix the ingredients (only four ingredients are really required), pop them into an oven-safe casserole dish, bake, and voilĂ —deliciousness ready to go.

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz cream cheese, softened (microwave for 15 seconds)

  • 1 lb sausage (country, Italian, hot, or a mix—my favorite is Italian!)

  • 1 cup shredded pepper jack cheese (or cheddar, Swiss, or your favorite cheese)

  • 1 large egg

  • Diced red or white onion (optional, but really adds something special!)

  • Optional add-ins: bacon, green pepper, spinach, or whatever you like

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. In a mixing bowl, combine all ingredients until well blended.

  3. Transfer the mixture to a greased oven-safe casserole dish.

  4. Bake for 20 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.

  5. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.

Depending on your casserole dish, this recipe makes about 9 servings. It’s perfect for breakfast or brunch, and leftovers reheat beautifully in the microwave alongside eggs.

Quick, easy, and packed with flavor—this baked sausage casserole is your new go-to for busy mornings or when you just want something hearty without the fuss. Enjoy!
