Cast on odd # stitches. I like 37 stitches

Knit first and last two rows to keep border flat

Knit first 2 and last 2 stitches of every row to keep border flat.

Row 1: K1 * yo, sl1, k1, yo, psso the knit and the yo stitch *

Row 2: *P2, drop yo* p1

Row 3: K2, rep between *'s of Row 1 ending with a K1

Row 4: P3 * drop yo, p2*
