Sunday Chat: Prayer

 

Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy. May your Kingdom come soon. May your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us today the food we need, and forgive us our sins, as we have forgiven those who sin against us. And don’t let us yield to temptation, but rescue us from the evil one. Matthew 6:9-13 

Yet you don’t have what you want 

because you don’t ask God for it. 

And even when you ask,

you don’t get it because your motives 

are all wrong you want only what 

will give you pleasure.

James 4:2-3

“So I say to you: 

Ask and it will be given to you; 

seek and you will find; 

knock and the door will be opened to you.

Therefore I tell you, 

whatever you ask for in prayer, 

believe that you have received it, 

and it will be yours.
