Astral Cream - falling back in love with an old fav!

Like many of you, I am on a constant quest for the perfect moisturizer. I have been known to spend some money (ugh on stinky Le Mer!! Definitely NOT the "light floral scent" that they advertise!) but I frequently find the high end products don't rate that high for me.

Recently, a girlfriend from France was telling me about how in love she is with Astral Cream and she never wanted to live without it. She was saying how she found it interesting that countless actresses swear by it and how it is making a resurgence as this is such a beautiful cream. This cream has been compared to the Charlotte Tilbury Magic cream (I have never tried) as well as to La Met (which I didn't like). This took me back to being a young girl and my mother using Astral Cream for decades and then I used it for many years, until I moved from London. I was so thankful to find it is now available in North America off of Amazon. It is as beautiful a product as I remember and now wonder why did I ever stop using this??

It is a thick texture but not as thick as Nivea.

It hydrates all day and makes my make-up look beautiful. It is also so hydrating on over my other skincare products at night. Hopefully the luminosity and softer texture of this cream shows up in these comparison photos.

This will be the only moisturizer that I take with me when I am traveling as I can use it for day or night and also could use it on my cuticles, feet, elbows, etc. I have fallen back in love with this fabulous cream and for $13 for 500ml it is a steal as I only need a bit each time I use it. I have been using it for a while now and am loving how my skin looks and feels. I love falling back in love with a great product that feels just as amazing as I remember. ♥

Elle's Lighting Fast Spinach Waldorf Salad

SOOO good and easy (my two criteria!). Add/subtract quantities and ingredients as you fancy.

Spinach
Ken's Sweet Vidalia Onion Dressing or Brianna's Poppyseed Dressing
Egg, hard boiled & chopped
*Chicken, shredded (I usually only use 1/2 chicken breast)
Avocado, diced (I usually only use 1/2)
Dates, chopped in half
Candied walnuts
Grapes, sliced in half
Grated cheese

Mix the spinach and dressing to taste. Add rest of ingredients and toss. Add more dressing if desired. Enjoy!

*Chicken - I sometimes use rotisserie chicken or, I put 5 or 6 chicken breasts into the crock pot with Montreal Chicken Seasoning for 3 to 4 hours on high and then freeze them in individual baggies for use in recipes or just snacking.
