Sleeping 8 hours every night, spending the days at the beach and at night going out for wonderful romantic relaxing dinners. No wonder they call it Paradise! I will be posting a vlog on Thursday as I can’t wait to share more with you!
As soon as one promises not to do something, it becomes the one thing above all others that one most wishes to do.
The above quote is why I don’t believe in ‘no buys’ as they instantly make you want that make up product. I also see girls on YT that do "No Buys" and they do big hauls before and after their No Buys and I wonder, what was the point? During their no buys they continually talk about 'what they want to buy'. It seems they just pull in or procrastinate on their buying for a short period of time without really changing anything???
I have been doing a “Use Up B.U.S. (Back Up Stash)”. Making the list of my B.U.S. and focusing on what I “have” vs focusing on what I “want” (and can’t buy) has proved very effective for me. I have told myself that I can buy whatever I want but, when I look at my list I quickly lose the urge to buy anything. I focus on what I have.
What do you find works for you when you want to cut down on the amount of products that you have?
I got a Pervursion Mascara by Urban Decay I haven't tried it yet (it has to go into the B.u.S.) but, I am excited to try it.
Klorane Drt Shampoo this smells really nice. I love that it is travel size and I am going to save this for taking with us to Maui next month.
Jersey Shore Sun Mongongo Lip Conditioner This could be a very nice product but, I don't need any more balms so will give this away.
J. Cat Beauty Flying Solo Eyeshadow I tried this out and it seems like a very nice eyeshadow. I am surprised it is <$3! They also provided a 25% off code for any item JCAT25
Dr Brandt Pore No More- I have heard very good things about this product so am excited to try it.
Again, I am very happy with what I got and thought it was more than worth the $10. It is always fun to try new products and this definitely gets me doing that :-)
For anyone who doesn't believe that sun exposure causes premature aging, take a look at this picture.
This 69-year-old man spent 28 years at the wheel of a truck, resulting in the left side of his facing absorbing a lot more sun than the right side. While the skin on right half of his face is relatively smooth and free of wrinkles the left side clearly shows thickening and wrinkling of the skin.
Please use sunscreen.
My 14 yo niece gets treated for leukemia in Vancouver, B.C. They live on Vancouver Island so, since she was diagnosed in December 2013, have had to make frequent trips/stays to the mainland. Here is a recent list that my sister sent me of what she has gone through in the last 7 1/2 months:
99 days in Vancouver. 1 surgery. 2 bone marrow biopsies. 11 lumbar punctures. 26 nights in the hospital. 60 visits at the oncology clinic. 97 needles. 3 rushes to the ER. 5 blood transfusions. 71 doses of chemo. 14 weeks of oral chemo. 4 physiotherapist appointments, and 3 heart tests has brought me up to my 7 1/2 mark today. Can't believe how much has happened in such little time!
