For wives, this means submit
to your husbands as to the Lord.
For a husband is the head
of his wife as Christ
is the head of the church.
He is the Savior of his body,
the church.
Ephesians 5:21-23
In the same way,
you wives must accept the authority
of your husbands.
Then, even if some refuse to
obey the Good News,
your godly lives will speak to them
without any words.
They will be won over
by observing your
pure and reverent lives.
1 Peter 3:1 & 2
Give honor to marriage,
and remain faithful to
one another in marriage.
God will surely judge people
who are immoral and
those who commit adultery.
Hebrews 13:4
Therefore shall a man
leave his father and his mother,
and shall cleave unto his wife:
and they shall be one flesh.
Genesis 2:24
The husband should fulfill
his wife’s sexual needs,
and the wife should fulfill
her husband’s needs.
The wife gives authority over
her body to her husband,
and the husband gives authority
over his body to his wife.
Do not deprive each other
of sexual relations,
unless you both agree to
refrain from sexual intimacy
for a limited time so
you can give yourselves
more completely to prayer.
Afterward, you should come together
again so that Satan won’t be able
to tempt you because of your
lack of self-control.
Corinthians 7: 3-6
A wife of noble character
who can find?
She is worth far more
than rubies.
her husband has full confidence
in her
and
lacks nothing of value.
She brings him good,
not harm,
all the days of her life.
Proverbs 31:10-12
Your beauty should not
come from outward adornment,
such as elaborate hairstyles
and the wearing of gold jewelry
or fine clothes.
Rather, it should be that
of your inner self,
the unfading beauty
of a gentle and quiet spirit,
which is of great worth in God’s sight.
For this is the way
the holy women of the past
who put their hope in God
used to adorn themselves.
They submitted themselves to
their own husbands,
1 Peter 3:3-5
And I want women to
be modest in their appearance.
They should wear decent and
appropriate clothing and not
draw attention to themselves
by the way they fix their hair or
by wearing gold or
pearls or expensive clothes
1 Timothy 2:9
“You must not misuse
the name of the Lord your God.
The Lord will not let you go
unpunished if you misuse his name.
Exodus 20:7
Similarly, teach the older women
to live in a way that honors God.
They must not slander others
or be heavy drinkers.
Instead, they should teach
others what is good.
These older women must train
the younger women to
love their husbands and their children,
to live wisely and be pure,
to work in their homes,
to do good, and to be submissive
to their husbands.
Then they will not bring shame
on the word of God.
Titus 2: 3-5
